Before you confirm a reservation, please examine this policy thoroughly. By reserving a yacht with QuietSkypress, you consent to and accept these terms on refunds.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Eligible for: Full reimbursement minus handling costs
Processing Time: 5-7 business days
Handling Fee: €50 on credit card payments
Requirements: Must submit request in writing by email or telephone
24-72 Hours Preceding Charter
Eligible for: Half of total charter fee
Processing Time: 7-10 business days
Handling Fee: €25 taken from the refund
Requirements: Cancellation must have valid grounds; administrative fees will be applied
Less Than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: No refund possible
Exception: Emergency situations can be taken into account
Alternative: Voucher for chartering may be provided at company's discretion
Requirements: Documentation must be submitted for emergency cases
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Assurance on Weather
Your security is paramount. When sailing conditions are determined unsafe by our licensed captain, we provide accommodating options:
- Full Refund: If rebooking isn’t viable, a complete refund is provided
- Reschedule: Adjust your charter date to an upcoming available slot without added fees
- Charter Credit: Attain a voucher good for a year from the initial booking date
Evaluating Weather Conditions
Weather evaluations involve:
- Examination of wind speed and direction
- Assessment of wave magnitude and sea state
- Forecasts for visibility and precipitation
- Observances of maritime advisories and cautions
- Our captain's evaluation on nautical safety
Decision Timeframe: Choices on cancellations due to weather are made at least 4 hours prior to the departure time.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Situations of Urgency
We empathize with the unexpected nature of health crises. The ensuing contexts may be eligible for special consideration:
- Acute malady or harm needing hospital care
- Loss within the closest kin
- Armed forces conscription or impromptu recalls
- Court summons or mandatory juror service
- Natural calamities obstructing travel
Submitting Proof
For claims based on emergencies, the following documents must be presented:
- Health certificates or hospital records
- Certificate of death (if relevant)
- Armed forces orders
- Juror or court notices
- Emergency travel notifications or declarations
Processing: Emergency repayment requests are finalized in 3-5 working days upon submission of the necessary proof.
Technical Cancellations
Mechanical Failures
If the boat designated for you suffers from mechanical failures not easily correctable:
- Different Vessel: We shall attempt to furnish an equivalent alternative
- Full Refund: Provided if a suitable replacement isn’t available
- Partial Refund: Given if the substitute has a different rate
- Consideration: Additional allowances could be granted as a gesture for any inconvenience
Unavailability of Crew
In the unlikely event that the crew is unavailable:
- Efforts will be made to arrange backup crew
- A full refund in cases where the sail cannot proceed
- Options to rebook free of extra charges
Refund Processing
Payment Routes
Refunds are returned using the same payment means as employed during the reservation:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days

€50 fee for terminations more than three days ahead
Bank Transfer Handling
€25 fee for all bank transfer paybacks
International Handling
Supplementary charges could be levied for cross-border transactions
Charter Credits
Issuance of Credits
In particular scenarios, charter credits might be presented instead of refunds:
- Last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours notice)
- Cancellations caused by weather
- Opting to shift the booking date voluntarily
- Operational hurdles
Credit Stipulations
- Validity: Valid for one year post the issuance
- Non-transferable: Credits are not exchangeable between different parties
- Amount: Equivalent to the full value of the charter without deduction for handling
- Utility: Credit can be used on any future available charter
- Expiry: Credits must be utilized within the 12-month limit without extension
Partial Service Repayments
Disruptions of Service
In cases where your charter is interrupted or reduced by factors within our influence:
- Refund amount calculated on the time not utilised
- Option of a credit for the value of the unused period
- Complimentary additional services or higher category upgrades
Guest-Induced Cessations
If charter termination happens early due to attendee behaviours or non-compliance with safety measures:
- No repayment for the period not spent
- Full cost is still obliged
- Supplementary charges may be incurred
Dispute Resolution
For disagreements with our refund judgements, the following steps can be taken:
- Appeal for an assessment by our supervisory staff
- Introduction of supplementary proof or documents
- Reconciliation through consumer assistance bodies
- Undertake legal options as permissible by governing regulations

Step 3: Assessment and Conduct
Our customer team will acknowledge receipt of your request within a day, assess it in line with the outlined policy, inform you of the decision within two days, and carry out reimbursements in the time periods specified.
